Chemical Programs

Turf Chemical Program

Application #1-Early Spring:

Fertilizer at this time is crucial for an early spring green up.  We apply a blanced rate of nitrogen (a key element in chlorophyll, which gives your lawn it’s dark green color, and Phosphate (an essential nutrient for root development and the plant’s energy system). Included in this application is an important pre-emergent to help control grassy weeds like crabgrass and foxtail.

Application # 2 -Spring:   This application helps continue control of grassy weeds like crabgrass and foxtail along with control for many kinds of broadleaf weeds including dandelions and clover.  We also apply a balanced rate of fertilizer to keep your lawn healthy and green.

Application #3 – Early Summer:  Nutrient rich fertilizer will help maintain  your turf’s vigor through the  hot summer months  along  spot treatments  for  all  types of weeds.  Early summer is active season for insects of all kinds, including turf damaging grubs. We offer a grub/insect control treatment that can be applied alongside this application.

Application #4 – Summer: A slow release – iron rich fertilizer will maintain color and health the summer months along with control of all weeds.  Don’t forget to water your lawn early in the day – about 1″ per week.

Application #5- Early Fall: A balanced rate of fertilizer to help reestablish lawns  after the long summer stress and encourage root development for newly seeded lawns with spot treatment for all weeds.

Application #6- Winter: The last application of the year helps build a nutrient rich food store for the soil to use in early spring.  This helps your lawn green up earlier, have better coloring/rooting and be heartier overall.

All broadleaf control plus crabgrass and nutgass control are offered for free throughout the year if all 6 applications are purchased.

We also offer fungicide control available anytime it’s needed – we treat by using a preventative application, and also have a curative treatment after it has developed.  Brown rings and dead spots can be the result of fungus which is caused many ways.  The best thing to do is apply a preventative application before it appears!

A Grub Treatment is also offered when needed in June or July.

Good Morning!  Just wanted to say THANK YOU again for my beautiful tree.  I had an October Glory Maple planted on Tuesday – it is just gorgeous!!  The two gentlemen that planted my tree were awesome – very professional, friendly, informative and represented your company very well.  I am sorry that I can’t remember their names but they planted a tree for Michel Norris in Olathe.  Please thank them again for me!!

I have been telling all my friends what a great place that Rosehill Nursery is for quality of product and the people that work there….thanks!

John McLenon certainly is an asset to your company.  He was so helpful, polite and very nice.  I would recommend him in a heartbeat!

To all who had a part in my yardwork!  Thanks so much for making my front yard so beautiful.  It was really needing a renovation.  Your time and effort are greatly appreciated.  I will enjoy looking out my window and seeing a fresh look.  All I can say is “job well done!”

I wanted to extend a special thanks to the Rosehill Garden team mates for a job well done.  Our yard looks absolutely perfect.

Your landscape Architect, Amanda White is not only very talented but is also very customer oriented.  We are completely satisfied with her finished work product as well as her “get it done” attitude.  Amanda was very focused and efficient in her presentation and handling of the project.  Additionally, the ease of doing business with her was unbelievable;  she always made herself available.

The actual work crew should also be recognized for an outstanding job.  They were very courtious, worked hard and finished the job on-time and left everything in immaculate order.

We wish you all a wonderful holliday season and thanks again for going above and beyond.

Thank you, Jim. Everything is coming along quite nicely.  We are already enjoying the beautiful new look of plant life around our building. We have had a very long construction cycle on the exterior of the branch so the landscaping phase has been fun and refreshing for everyone!

Thanks again,

Glad you and your team are handling all my green projects.  It has a great design and natural feel.  It is very cool.  My customers are blown away.  Good job.  Incredible.

The Smith household wants to thank you for you capable employees who finalized our wishes at our home.  It started with your knowledgeable landscape designer Amanda White who helpted us formalize needed yard projects, and then ended with a great 3 person yard crew under Allison Harrison with Amanda making sure our wants were the result.
Your company over the years has helped us with plantings and stonework and we appreciate your expertise and dependability.
